Itinerary
6 nights

Day 1 Transfer from airport. Your guide will provide you with an orientation of your coming days in Istanbul and a brief orientation of Istanbul. After checking into your hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to relax and recover from your flight. You may choose to explore a bit on your own. Evening welcome dinner in town. Overnight in Istanbul. (D)

Day 2
Full day of sightseeing, including the Hippodrome area, which includes Topkapi Palace, Haigha Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Lunch will be included. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Istanbul.(B,L)

Day 3
Full day of sightseeing which will include a Bosphorous cruise from Eminonu to Sariyer. Visits will be made at the Sadberk Ilanim Museum, as well as a visit to the Spice Bazaar, also known as the “Egyptian” market. Lunch will be in a fish restaurant on the Bosphorous. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L,D)

Day 4
Today's touring will concentrate on the art and architecture of Byzantium. You touring today will include the Basilica Cistern, Chora Church, Valens Aqueduct, Church of St. Sergius and Bachua (often thought of as the smaller Haigha Sophia), Million Stone, Pantrakrator Church, Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of Palace Mosaics. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L)

Day 5
Today's touring will concentrate on the art and architecture of the Ottoman Empire. Your touring will include the Dolmabache Palace, the Suleimani Mosque, Ibrahim Pasha Palace (also known as the Museum of Islamic Art), Rustem Pasha Mosque, the Ciragan Palace and the Ortakoy Mosque. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L,D)

Day 6
Today's touring will include the more contemporary Istanbul, concentrating on the architecture and culture from the late 19th century when Istanbul became such a cosmopolitan city to the current lifestyle of Istanbul, which includes some of the most fashionable and au courant art and lifestyle. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L,D)

Day 7
This morning, your touring today will include Etiler, Levent, Bebek, Bosphorus and other examples of residential architecture. You will take the tram that brings you to the heart of Beyoglu, once considered the European Istanbul not only due to its geographic postion on the European side, but due to its European population. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, to explore as you choose or do some last minute shopping. You are independent to explore Istanbul's many eating options for your lunch. Your guide will be happy to advise you in your independent plans. Farewell dinner in an enjoyable restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,D)
